JUNEAU WHO’S 50?  – OUR 2026 “IT’S MY BIRTHDAY” ALASKAN TRIP (DAYS 0 AND 1 – OUR FLIGHT OUT! SEATTLE!! BASEBALL!!!! MELANIE AND SINCERE!!!!111)

Well hey everyone!!!

Get excited because we are kicking off another trip series.

I said, “get excited.”

That’s better.

And this is a pretty epic situation, you guys. On account of this series is gonna focus on our 12-day trip to Alaska!!! And not only that, but this trip? It was to celebrate my 50th birthday.

Yah man. 50 years. 1976. 4 years before we as a society had even heard of the Buggles.

Wild.

Our “It’s my birthday” 2026 Alaskan Trip – The Details

So yeah, probably worthwhile to set the stage and let you all know the Why, When, Where, Who, and How of the whole trip.  This has been a trip a longtime in the making – kind of a “bucket list” situation for me – so a lot to cover here.

First off? The Why

I mean, we kind of already covered this but I know none of you actually read the intro so the main driver behind this trip was I picked Alaska as the trip I wanted to take for my 50th birthday. Seeing Alaska has forever been a top “hey, I’d like to go there” place for me. Ever since I first saw “30 Days of Night.”

Seemed like a fun place.

Seriously though –  I have always felt like Alaska kind of called to me. Sort of like a beautiful, largely untouched wilderness that could show me how impressive nature really can be. And it felt to me like every picture or video, no matter how pretty they were, didn’t do justice to what Alaska really was.

So yeah, get excited about the underwhelming pictures and videos.

So HOW were we gonna see Alaska?

We always knew this had to be a cruise. There are parts of Alaska that are only reachable by sea or air and I mean, we love cruising so it made sense that this would happen via ship.

However, we spent A LOT of time trying to land on a cruise line, a ship, and an itinerary. We thought about Disney cruises obvs squad, but they weren’t allowed in Glacier Bay, which was a prime destination. We looked at Holland, Norwegian, Celebrity and eventually landed on Princess because it felt to us like it offered the itineraries we wanted and while definitely not sort of Disney or Royal-level activities and entertainment, it was closer than lines like Holland.

Plus, I mean. It’s the Love Boat.

The itinerary was a whole thing too  – we at one point were thinking about going out of Seattle. Doing a round-trip. Doing a one-way starting in Whittier. But we ended up choosing the 7-night Voyage of the Glaciers Northbound cruise out of Vancouver on Discovery Princess because it offered the ports and scenic cruising we were looking for and fit the timing we needed with the kids’ school and what not. Plus the Discovery was a newer ship and we were excited about that as well.

Right, so WHERE are we going?

OK so like I said – this cruise was sailing out of Vancouver. Which is like real far from Boston. Sooooo we wanted to make sure we got over there with enough time to not worry about anything. We wanted two nights on the west coast but with the World Cup happening, Vancouver hotels and flights were super expensive. We decided on flying into Seattle and spending a night (also expensive because of the World Cup…just not AS expensive) and then taking a train up to Vancouver to spend a night there before boarding the ship.

On the ship itself, the itinerary went like this:

  • Day 1 – Leave Vancouver
  • Day 2 – Day at sea
  • Day 3 – Ketchikan, AK
  • Day 4 – Juneau, AK
  • Day 5 – Skagway, AK
  • Day 6 – Scenic cruising in Glacier Bay
  • Day 7 – Scenic cruising in College Fjord
  • Day 8 – disembark in Whittier, AK

I won’t get into what we did in each of the ports just yet – I’ll let that play out over the posts. But after we got off the ship, we also had two nights booked in Anchorage because we had a couple things we wanted to do in that area as well before heading home.

We also actually, speaking of the “where”, have a little activity planned in Minneapolis for our 5-hour layover. But I will keep that a surprise for now.

And WHEN was this whole epicness happening?

We did this beginning of July 2026 – boarding the ship on July 4th.

S’all I got. That was an easy one.

So WHO went?

The four of us – me, Nickie, Myles, and Owen – of course. Nickie handled the bulk of the planning for this trip. Which was a lot. I can’t express how thankful I am to have Nickie. She put together a hell of a trip.

And the Falzones – Tony, Larissa, and Mia – also joined us for the entire trip. We flew out together, spent every day together, and flew back together. And yeah, we are STILL friends. I feel like by Day 3, I’ve told all the jokes I have so I’m shocked too.

We also had both Liam and Hannah joining us. I know I have introduced them before but Liam has been friends with the boys (and us, let’s face it) for like ever and Hannah is Myles’s girlfriend. Both are totez part of the family. The plan for Liam and Hannah was to join us in Vancouver because of their work schedules and what not.

So yeah, nine people. And we were split across 3 cabins on the ship. Nickie and I had our own room right next door to the Falzones, who also had their own cabin. Myles, Owen, Liam, and Hannah were splitting a 4-person inside cabin.

So yeah, that’s it – those are all the details I think we need to cover now. We can probz let the rest play out. Shall we get on with it?

Our “It’s my birthday” 2026 Alaskan Trip – Day 0

Day 0!!!

You guys – remember Day 0’s?

No?

I mean, they were like a staple of our trips for a long time. I talked about them a lot in earlier posts.

Pfft, and you call yourselves fans.

Oh. You don’t.

Ha. Sorry. My mistake.

Anyway tho. Day 0 is sort of a bonus day. Not an actual planned trip day but sort of one maybe we decided on last minute or tacked on to kick things off a little early. This is one of those days.

The four of us (me, Nickie, Myles, and Owen) booked a room at a hotel close to the airport for Day 0. Reason being is that we have my Mom and then our friend Renee staying at our house to watch the pups and our flight was so early, we couldn’t imagine making the beds and cleaning the house before heading to the airport.

Plus, I mean…let’s just get vacation started, right?

Day 0 was a full workday for Nickie and I so we didn’t really get going until closer to 5PM. We got our bags all packed up, made the beds, cleaned the house, and said our goodbyes to the pups.

Goodbye Lilo. Sad face.

And goodbye Stitch. We will miss y…wait a sec.

Ha, he thinks he’s luggage.

Aw we defo were gonna miss those two.

The hotel we booked for tonight was an old favorite – the Comfort Inn & Suites Logan International Airport. We arrived at around quarter-to-six. Getting checked in and up to our room quickly was our GOALLLLLLLLL.

Sorry, little World Cup humor there for you.

Ahem. This is also the lobby.

We were up in our room by 5:50 and we seriously contemplated sending someone this postcard on account of its from literally the town next door to where we live.

Wouldn’t that have been high-larious?

While we knew there was a restaurant just downstairs where one could procure alcohol, we did bring some of our own to try and fill the empty spaces. Including this Sun Cruiser, which I enjoyed while watching some World Cup.

I feel like “AI” is probably the more common answer to the question “What was the biggest innovation of the past few years?” but I think Sun Cruisers have quite literally changed my life.

We hung out in the room for an hour or so, drinking the nectar of the Gods and watching the World Cup before heading down to the aforementioned restaurant for dinner at around 7PM. And that aforementioned restaurant? Margarita’s!

Which, surprisingly, did not serve Chinese. Turns out if was Mexican? Hm…with a name like that?

Whatever, rolling with the punches.

Oh also?? My mom came to join us for dinner. Because, again, this place was like 15 minutes away from our house.

But yay, right? Mom!!

They started us off with some chips and salsa while we decided on drinks and apps.

Since “when in Rome” and all that, I went with a Margarita to start. I mean, if not now then when?

I started off with their Original Margarita since like….the menu said it was award-winning. And only the best for me.

While the chips and salsa were good stuff, we did order food. I mean, we weren’t just gonna eat the free chips and salsa or anything like that without actually paying for food. At least, not after the look Nickie gave me when I suggested such a thing.

Women. Amirite?

So yeah, we started off with the NON-FREE App Sampler for the table.

Up there we have Tomato & Garlic Nachos, Chicken Baby Chimis, Fried Mexican Cheese & Buffalo Wings. This was also served with blue cheese, chimichurri and chipotle sauce.

Good stuff, that app sampler. Those baby chimichanga things were like the Sun Cruisers of appetizers.

Hey look. It’s me and Myles.

Me. Myles. Margarita’s.

I should mention there was a bit of a dark cloud over dinner tonight since right before it was announced the Celtics were trading Jaylen Brown to the 76’ers for Paul George and some draft picks.

This was not going over well with the boys. And even though the US was playing Bosnia-Herzegovina in the World Cup tonight, they were kind of merpy tonight. Understandably so. I mean that trade was garbage time.

I was trying to eat healthy, so I went with the Burrito Supreme.

No. I’m serious. I actually thought this may end up being a healthy decision. Lol. I feel like the changes happening to my body are starting to make a lot of sense.

But whatevz. It was good you guys. I went with the Chicken (again, healthy) and the thing was made with a large flour tortilla, and stuffed with both the chicken and some refritos. And the whole thing was baked in mild red chile sauce and cheese, topped with sour cream.

Delicious. But yeah, the menu said all those things and I still thought, “oh that sounds like it would be a healthy choice.”

I also snapped some pics of Owen’s Enchiladas Muchachas (One beef enchilada and one chicken enchilada bathed in enchilada sauce, covered in melted cheese, green onions and sour cream. Served with Mexican rice and choice of refried or black beans.)

And Myles’s Skillet Baked Enchiladas (One chicken enchilada, one steak enchilada and one carnitas enchilada. Skillet baked with house tomatillo sauce. Served with Mexican rice and choice of refried or black beans.)

Both of which I appreciated, on account of I was afraid they would get Fajitas and I would have to throw the clothes I was wearing away.

I didn’t get a picture of what Nickie or my mom ordered, but I am pretty sure they got burgers. Which like…picture a burger. Yeah, it looked like that.

I also ordered another drink because I mean. Once I saw it on the menu, I had to have it. Behold – the Cruiser-Rita.

Which is like a Coronarita but instead of a Corona, they flip an upside-down can of Sun Cruiser right into the frozen marg.

It was like I was in some sort of dream.

But yeah, overall good meal at Margarita’s. And it was so great having my mom join us. Especially because she brought two big bags of her homemade chocolate chip cookies for us to bring on the trip!

Mom=great.

Mom with cookies=mind blown.

After dinner, we went back up to the room where we watched some more of the World Cup game. The US won 2-0 btw. And for some reason, the boys went to the gym at like 10PM tonight? Probz to work out some of those Celtics frustrations.

Nickie and I meanwhile got into bed and watched some Love Island on our phone before drifting off. Literally. I was like falling asleep with the phone in my hand.

But like – that was Day 0. The boys did eventually make it back to the room and we were all asleep before midnight. Which is a good thing since we had to be up at like 4:30 the next morning. Early flights, right?

That leads us right into….

Our “It’s my birthday” 2026 Alaskan Trip – Day 1

Like I said, Day 1. It was early AF.

Yah, like 4:30 y’all.

We quickly got ready, got our bags packed back up, and made our way down to the lobby to catch the free shuttle over to the airport.

Oh.

You don’t believe me?

Well, here is a picture of Myles and Owen on said shuttle.

The shuttle was a quick 10 minute-ish ride over to the airport and we very quickly made it through bag check and security. Well, somewhat quickly I guess. While I did take my hair clippers out of my carry-on when it went through the scanner, I neglected to take out my portable speaker. So yeah, the TSA agent had to look through my bag and then put it back through the scanner.

I was that guy. I hate being that guy.

But regardless, it was still pretty quick. That picture on the shuttle was at like 5:20 or so and we were at the airport Dunkin’ at around 6:00.

For breakfast, I ordered an egg and cheese on an English muffin and an iced coffee. Basic AF. But whatever you guys. I liked it.

And hey! While we were waiting at the gate, enjoying our breakfast, the Falzones showed up!!!

And we were also there!!!!

Mia deffo got in on the whole Dunkin’ situation.

The excitement was high at this point. The 7 of us were together and excited to get to the west coast and really get this adventure started. Our flight took off around 7:30AM and I mean speaking of adventure…

Yeah man. Partying like its 2014. 2048 on the seatback is maybe the best thing Delta has ever done in the history of the company.

Also everytime I say 2048, I feel like I have to say it like Fetty Wap would say it. Like give it a little of that “1738” spin to it.

But eh – I couldn’t play 2048 for the ENTIRE 6-hour flight, right?

Well maybe I could. But still.

So I did spend a little bit of my time in the air watching Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie.

Which was hilarious stuff. I’ve never watched any episodes of the show before nor even heard of it before the movie (pfft, n00b amirite?) but still like legit loved the movie. I hope to at some point get a look at the actual show.

Oh wait, I should mention the seating arrangements here. So Nickie and I were in one row, me in the middle, her on the aisle.

The Falzones were across the aisle from us, with Larissa on the aisle, Tony at the window, and Mia in the middle.

And Myles and Owen were in front of us. I don’t know where each of them sat though since I don’t have a picture but let’s say Owen was in the middle, Myles on the aisle. I mean, if I’m wrong what are they gonna do? Sue me?

Plus “Myles” kind of rhymes with “aisle.” So.

About 20 minutes into the movie, I started feeling really shaky and kind of off. It took me a minute to figure out what was going on but I quickly realized it was nearing 9AM and I hadn’t had a drink yet. I know. Kind of an unfathomable situation.

Thankfully, the drink cart rolled up and I was able to order a Bloody Mary. I also, being a Delta Skymiles member, was able to get an almost real-life sized can of Pringles.

Oh sorry. You’re not a Delta Skymiles member? You’re stuck with the orphan food they feed coach? Welp, membership has its privileges, peasant.

At around 10AM, my movie ended so I started my latest Stephen King novel – The Green Mile. Yup, I am into the 90s on my quest to read every Stephen King novel in chronological order. The question is what will happen first – will I finish reading every Stephen King book before I finish this travel post series?

There’s a chance.

I should also mention Nickie set forth a challenge for everyone to start and finish one entire book on this trip.

I should also also mention that no one did this. Nickie may claim she did. But don’t believe her. She finished her book before the trip even started and I mean…I’ve read books before too. That shizz don’t count.

At around 2:30PM Eastern time / 11:30AM Pacific, we started to make our descent into Seattle. And as we did, we had a clear shot of Mount Rainier out the left side window.

Named because of how Seattle is rainier than a lot of other states.

The more you know.

But check it out guys. We are in Seattle!!

Also, fun with maps, I figured out I could scroll up and get a peek at where we were headed over the next week.

Maps ARE fun.

We got off the plane, grabbed our bags at baggage claim, and were in our Lyft over to our hotel by noon. Check out the Seattle skyline you guys!

Our Lyft driver was a character as well. Dude was PISSED about Balogun getting a red card in the US match the night before. He very animatedly, even grabbing my calf at one point, talked through how it shouldn’t have been a red card and how Messi did pretty much the same thing earlier in the tournament and DIDN’T receive a red card.

Ha, miss that dude.

And pfft as if we needed a sign that this trip was going to be epic…

What? It’s a literal sign you guys.

We were at the hotel by 12:15. Our hotel for the night was the Silver Cloud Hotel.

Which we picked not only because it looked like a nice hotel and all, but the location was legit. Place was right across the street from T-Mobile Park.

Which worked out. Since we were seeing a Mariners game tonight!!

I know. Exciting, right?

Also exciting? Our rooms were ready!

We got all our bags on a luggage cart and went on up. And like, this was a pretty nice room I thought.

We ended up with an accessible room. Here’s the main sleeping area, awesome family not included.

With a mounted, adjustable TV directly facing the beds, World Cup game not guaranteed.

And a nice, big bathroom (again, this was an accessible room so sizes may vary), fresh smell not long-lasting.

And we had a view of this little courtyard out our window.

We didn’t end up spending too much time in the room though, given we had some afternoon plans to get to. We watched some World Cup, chilled out for a little bit, had a full-out throwdown cage match…

You know. The usual.

But right. Afternoon plans. Before the game, we wanted to check out Pike Place Market and the waterfront. And our hotel wasn’t just close to the ballpark, it was also like a 20-minute walk to Pike Place. So I mean, it was a nice day. Why not?

Out we went into Seattle.

On our way, we passed Lumen Fie…sorry, Seattle Stadium.

I get it Seattle. And hey, at least YOUR stadium is actually in Seattle. Over here, Gillette was renamed to Boston stadium despite it being like an hour outside the city. I apologize on behalf of all Boston, World Cup fans.

Like I said, it was a pretty nice day outside so the walk was definitely welcome.

We made it to Pike Place by around 1:00PM.

And yeah. We saw some fish being thrown.

What? You don’t see it? The fish is right….there.

And I mean, it was impressive and all. But like, it’s not like these were boomerang fish or anything. I mean, that shizz is impressive.

Shoutout Lew Zealand.

For those that don’t know, Pike Place is sort of like a Quincy Market on steroids.

Oh you don’t know what Quincy Market is?

It’s kind of like a straight-edged Pike Place.

But yeah, basically just a bunch of restaurants, stalls, and little shops to visit. Oh and like the first-ever Starbucks.

And guys, its JUST like the Starbucks back in Boston!!

Meaning, there was a long line. I am not sure if the similarities end there though. Since we didn’t actually wait in said line to find out.

There was also a line at the spot I was hoping to visit for lunch – Piroshky Piroshky.

The line was too long here as well. Gosh, I hope there is somewhere else we can maybe try it later on in the day.

Foreshadowing.

But yeah, the lines were long you guys. So eh, if we wanted to eat (which was most certainly the plan), a line was gonna be inevitable. So we hopped in line at a spot with a bar and some waterfront views (and good reviews as well) – Lowell’s!

While in line, it was pretty obvz I was intensely hungry because I was ALLLLL over the place with what I was going to order right up to the last minute. Fish & Chips? Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl? Dungeness Crab Melt?

Pfft, nah.

I went with the always-exciting Tuna Melt.

I know. I am boring AF. But it was actually a real good Tuna Melt you guys. And hey, I paired it with some super good Clam Chowder there.

Also? I paired it with a Coors Light. And a Diet Coke. So I mean. Now things are getting excited.

And like I mentioned, we scored a table with a pretty nice view.

Oh and like  – I did get some other food pictures you guys. Like Nickie’s Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Fries.

And the Fish & Chips, which I know both Tony and Owen got.

And Myles’s Tiger Prawns & Chips.

Hrm, I guess I neglected to get pictures of Larissa’s Dungeness Crab Melt or Mia’s Chicken Fingers. So eh, I guess a B+ on the blogging this time around.

But – I can say I tried the Tuna Melt, some of Tony’s Fish & Chips, and some of Larissa’s Crab Melt. And I will say – that Fish & Chips was deffo the winner. Super Fresh with a nice crunch to it. Would def order that if I ever found myself back at Lowell’s again.

Overall tho  – really good lunch at Lowell’s. And while there was a line, it did move pretty quickly. And it gave me time to consider nearly everything on the menu. So I got that going for me. Which is nice.

After lunch, we made the call to head back to the hotel via the waterfront. But I mean, on the way out of Pike’s, we got a picture of some more fish.

And of this weird little light fixture that was all over the place.

It’s like who’s that guy, right? Erm. Bulb. Uh Man. Bulb Man or something? Amirite?

Sorry.

On the way back, we stopped in at this little Scandinavian coffee shop – Freya (https://www.freyabakery.com/).

Me and my friend Tony.

Ordering coffee.

Like friends do.

Coffee buddies for life, I think.

I went in for the Salted Caramel Latte.

Which was delicious.

Also, get very used to the term “Salted Caramel Latte.”

On account of like A LOT of those get ordered this trip. I’m just saying. If you could somehow put in a bet on Kalshi for something like this, I’d put the over at like 5.5.

But hey, let’s head back eh?

Whale, whale, whale…would you look at that sculpture.

Yeah I said it. Whale, whale, whale. Despite literally NO ONE getting that pun. I did it FOR ME.

It was starting to rain a little bit but honestly? It was kind of refreshing.

Feel the rain on your skin.

No one else can feel it for you.

And while it wasn’t the first Starbucks, the kids did end up going to a Starbucks.

And while it wasn’t the Bigfoot, we did end up getting a picture of a mythical creature.

And he was standing right in front of Bigfoot.

Get it?

Because Tony is the mythical creature in this scenario.

When we got back to the hotel, Nickie, Larissa, Mia, and I threw on our bathing suits to check out the rooftop hot tub.

Which is like at the top of the list, in terms of hot tub types. Rooftop, I mean.

And hey look you guys – it’s T-Mobile Park again.

We hung out in the hot tub for a bit, made some friends. No big deal. People love us.

But we headed back down to the room at around 4:30 to get back into our baseball-ready outfits for the night.

But before heading over to the park, we stopped off for some drinks at the hotel restaurant – Jimmy’s On First. Because I mean, look at this view.

Beautiful, right?

Oh look, you can see the park too!

Rawr.

I got myself a Tito’s and soda.

Which, I mean. Such a solid go-to. You should probably also come to terms with hearing a lot about vodka sodas.

And I mean, they had a shot roulette special on-menu. So Tony and I kind of had to, no?

We had a whisky drink. We had a vodka drink.

Like the song.

Don’t cry for me. Next door neighbor.

Tony took the whisky, I took the vodka. And I think I remember it being citrus-y. And warm. Which is always the best kind of shot.

Said no one ever.

Whatever tho. I think it was like a 6-dollar shot. So.

Annnnyway. Let’s go see some baseball, right?

And I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, “oh cool. The Mariners were playing the Red Sox?”

Ha. No.

They were playing the Angels.

But we still wanted people to know we were from Boston. And I mean, the dropped “r”s and blatant cynicism can only go so far.

Oh and check this out guys. We were sitting in the Terrace Club.

Oh we bougie AF.

And though? Like once we walked in there, they had like a cheap beer table set up. And you could get High Lifes for $5.

Like, a $5 beer? This is legit unheard of at Fenway Park. I am pretty sure the cheapest beer at Fenway is like “first born”-priced.

Beers are expensive at Fenway is what I am saying to you now. Hence the Boston cynicism.

Up behind our seats in the Terrace Club, there were a bunch of concession booths and like comfy seating and what not.

Our seats were down in this area here. And oof, you guys. This park is beautiful.

And did I mention they have $5 Miller High Lifes?

They even have a Value Food menu, with $5 hot dogs. Like whattt?

Xanadu, this place.

Early on, Tony and I decided to do a little exploring to see what other options the park had beyond what was up near the Terrace Club. And guys – remember that foreshadowing from before? Well all that waiting has paid off. Cuz check what we found downstairs.

Yah man. Piroshky Piroshky. The place with the too-long line from earlier. Of course we had to get some.

And just to explain, we saw a lot about Piroshky Piroshky when we were doing our YouTube research on Seattle. Their main offering are these..well…piroshkys, which are Eastern European hand pies. We let the rest of the crew know what we found and ended up getting a few to bring back to our seats.

And whatdd’ya know. They’re little baseballs.

I went with the Bacon Cheeseburger Piroshky, with seasoned beef, cheese, bacon, ketchup, and mustard.

And yeah, I thought it was pretty dang delicious. Recommend.

Oh and Nickie and Larissa found carafes of wine.

Xanadu. Seriously.

Hey let’s…

It’s baseball time.

And guys – look at this park. Seriously, with the skyline behind it. Gnarly stuff.

The game was a good time. Like I said, it was a beautiful park and it ended up being a close, low-scoring game. These dudes in the section above us were def getting into the “tarps off” situation.

But I do have to say, tarps off situation aside, the energy was a little low at the park. And like, the team at T-Mobile were doing everything they could – I think it was like Diet Coke Night, House of the Dragon Night, AND like Rizzmas in July or something? Three promotions, T-Mobile?

But I get it. The crowd was a bit subdued compared to what we are used to at Fenway. So I understand doing all you can to get people going. And the Christmas in July situation did help for sure. We were all deffo singing some Mariah Carey in the stands.

And believe me, everyone we met was great honestly. So nice. It was just not all that “electric” in there. This could also be due to the fact that it was a pretty low-scoring affair, with only one run being scored.

And regardless, WE were def energetic and having a great time. Such a fun night at the ballpark.

And the seats we had gave us such a nice view of not only the game but of what makes this park so special. I know I keep talking about now beautiful this park is but seriously, it’s pretty stuff. Especially as the sun was going down.

So right, a low scoring affair. The Mariners ended up scoring a run in the 6th inning and that was the sole batter in. But it was enough for a Seattle win!

That’s pretty awesome. And it was SUCH a fun night.

Why yes, that IS a Keystone Light in my hand. The value beer stand ran out of High Lifes so we had to move onto Keystones. Which is good. On account of I needed to stay hydrated.

And Keystones are like water. Get it?

We were out of the park by around 9:20PM. And our initial plan was to grab another drink at Jimmy’s on First back at the hotel but it was pretty busy when we got there. And I mean, we had some cocktails up in the room anyway. Plus, we did want to watch Love Island. I mean, it was movie night.

Which, actually, I voiced on our way by the elevators and a girl walking by heard us and was like “YES LOVE ISLAND” and I yelled back, “MOVIE NIGHT!!!” and that was met with a bunch of “WOOO”s.

Magical.

So we made the call to skip Jimmy’s and grab an elevator back up to the room. But oof, the lines were long. We asked the dude at the front desk if there were any stairs we could take up to our room but he said he could do even better and brought us out to their service elevator so we could skip the lines and get right up to our room.

Oh sorry we’re VIPs.

But seriously. Thanks front desk dude. You legit saved the night.

The Falzones met us in our room and I poured me and Tony a couple bourbons.

We were able to stream from our phone so we settled in to see what the Islanders were up to.

Movie night was a rough night for Melanie, you guys.

Sincere-ly.

Yeah so hey – that was our day in Seattle. We finished up with Love Island, the Falzones said their goodnights, and we were asleep by like 11AM. But remember, for us, this was feeling more like 2AM to us since we had just traveled in from the East Coast.

Annnnd we had an early day tomorrow so bedtime it is.

But hey, I’ll see you guys on Day 2 – in which we head up to Vancouver for the day!

Until then – take care everyone!
