OK so get ready for a post of galactic proportions.
What I am saying is I don’t think I will have to force you to read this one.
These posts are coming at you light speed like.
You better make some space in your brain for some awesomeness.
…
…
It’s Star Wars. This post is about Star Wars.
Shakes head.
Aw man – let’s get our Star Wars on.

Cross-country trip: Day 15 First Half
Kind of insane we are already at Day 15 here. Nearing the end of the trip. I don’t want it to end. I DON’T WANT IT TO END!!!!
Hm? Oh, I am just writing about the trip? I am not actually on the trip? I am still in Massachusetts? But then who was that giant mouse I just saw? A hallucination? But I am still Wayne right? Esmerelda? A princess that lives in a far-off land? Married to an ogre? I only have one leg? I’ve never tasted cheese?
Heh. That got weird quick. Oh, my brain. It don’t always work. Good.
Anyways. Day 15. Surprise, surprise. The plan is to wake up early today. But this time, not for a quick breakfast. Oh no no no. Today, we will get ready and head right over to the Grand Californian for breakfast at Storyteller’s Café. And it’s kind of a cool character breakfast because we get to have breakfast with some characters we don’t normally see at Walt Disney World. Well, I mean Chip and Dale are there. But also some of the characters from Brother Bear. Which I think is a Disney movie. But what we are really hoping for is to see Brer Bear and Brer Fox. Myles legit loves these two characters so we really hope they’re there.
Then it’s back to Disneyland Park to ride rides and have some fun times. I am not sure what rides we will end up doing but I can guarantee they will be awesome. Have I mentioned how excited I am for Disneyland?
Then we have lunch at Orleans Café. This place. So not only do they have the famous Monte Cristo sandwich:

BUT…check these out. Mickey beignets!!!

So yeah. Fatness.
The theme night
Nickie had a hair appointment today so I got a chance to pay her back for all the work she has done recently on our weeknight Disney nights. Check it out:

Obviously, this isn’t all our Star Wars toys but I mean…we needed room to eat.
Also with Nickie out, it gave us boys a chance to get some extra Star Wars in. We got to watch Rogue One, which is a nice clean lead-in right to New Hope, which was Owen’s choice of movie. A solid number one Star Wars movie though I am all about some Empire.
The food
For the food, we had Star Wars shaped pancakes and sausage sabers. Now, while we had Millennium Falcon, TIE fighter and X-Wing molds, really the only ones that come out even close to ok are the Falcons. Like those X-Wings? Legit impossible to make. Its cool though. The Falcon made the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs so.

For dessert? Obi-Wan Cannolis of course.

The activities
We did a couple activities for this one. But the first? I mean, sort of a cheat. As you might recall from the Toy Story post, we flew Star Wars drones as part of the “playing with toys” activity. But I mean, we HAD to do that today too, no? Plus, we didn’t take any pictures then. So here you go…PEW PEW.

And then, after dinner, we played some Star Wars Catch Phrase. Man, I love this game. Especially playing it with Nickie. Because she doesn’t know what any of these things are.

The movie
OK – as I mentioned, Empire Strikes Back is my favorite of the Star Wars films, but I still did include New Hope in my Top 40 here. And here’s Owen’s take.
Take it away Owen…
New Hope is my favorite Star Wars movie for many reasons. One main reason I like New Hope is because I like Han Solo and Chewbacca. Chewbacca is definitely my favorite character because he’s funny and loyal. New Hope is my favorite Star Wars movie because it features who I think is the best General for the Empire – General Tarkin. My favorite part is when they are at Mos Eisley Cantina and the thing makes a noise and the guy says “my friend doesn’t like you and I don’t like you either.”
Now take it back, Dad.
And now – we plan on doing another Disney night tomorrow for Father’s Day. Get excited. Until then…
