Helloooo and welcome to our blog. We are the Goodreaus. And well, we are pretty awesome.

And we love pretty much all things Disney. We love the movies. We love the music. We love visiting the parks. So we decided to start a blog to document some of this love. Throughout, we want to talk about some of the stuff we love about Disney and why we love it so much.

Before we do though…it’s time to meet our mouseketeers.

The Parental Units

Name:  Wayne.  AKA “Dad.”

Top 5 Disney movies: Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Bambi, Fox and the Hound and Lady and the Tramp. At least this week.

Favorite Disney character: Pluto (though Eeyore is a close second)

Favorite ride at Disney World: Tower of Terror

I have actually been into Disney for most of my life. I visited Disney World for the first time when I was 4 and I can remember making my Dad take me to see Fox and The Hound when it first came out at least 20 times. I know the first Disney movie I ever bought with my own money (Lady and the Tramp on VHS) and Minnie Mouse was my first official crush (eh, I have a thing for polka dots.)

I will be most likely the primary voice of this blog, but hopefully the whole Goodreau clan will be contributing.

Name: Nickie. AKA “Mom”

Top 5 Disney movies: Cinderella, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Up and Princess and the Frog

Favorite Disney character: Cinderella

Favorite ride at Disney World: Soarin’

Nickie is the love of my life. While I do love Disney, she is the one that makes our trips to Disney World so amazing. One of these posts, I will show you one of her spreadsheets for our trips…Some may call her obsessed but I see it as a gift. She is the one that makes all our reservations and plans out all our trips down to the minute. And because of that, our trips have been really awesome. We are all very thankful for all the work she puts into those trips…and pretty much into every day of our lives.

The Younglings

Name: Myles. AKA “First born”

Top 5 Disney movies:  Peter Pan, Nightmare Before Christmas, Toy Story 3, Dumbo,  Beauty and the Beast

Favorite Disney character: Peter Pan

Favorite ride at Disney World: Space Mountain

Myles is our oldest. He is insanely sweet and smart and loves Disney despite our fears of him outgrowing it. His first trip to Disney World was at 9 months and he is typically the most upset on the day we leave.  When he grows up, he either wants to be a professional hockey player or a Disney Imagineer. Or, optimally, both. So, you can probably expect a Mighty Ducks resurgence in the next 15 years or so.

Name: Owen. AKA “The youngest”

Top 5 Disney movies:  Lion King, Peter Pan, Lilo and Stitch, The Many Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh, Miracle

Favorite Disney character: Winnie-the-Pooh

Favorite ride at Disney World: Tower of Terror

Owen is our youngest. He is also such a smarty pants and so full of life. His first trip to Disney was at 8 weeks old! One of our favorite trips and probably the one that officially kicked off our addiction. At the parks, he shares thrill-seeking duties with Daddy. He definitely loves soccer and wants to be the next Messi but also often can be found pretending to live at Disney World.

Name: Daisy. AKA “Crazy Daisy.”

Top 5 Disney movies: tough to say, but let’s go with Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmatians, Air Bud, Bolt and the Buddies series.

Favorite Disney character:  Daisy, of course!

Favorite ride at Disney World: She has never been, but I envision her enjoying the Tomorrowland Speedway. She quite enjoys riding in cars.

In case you haven’t guessed yet, Daisy was named after Daisy Duck and is such a good girl. I actually think while she does like the food scraps from our Disney theme nights, she may actually not LOVE Disney World as it takes us away from her. Therefore, I doubt she will be contributing all that many posts.

Name: Lilo

Top 5 Disney movies: Again, a toughie but I am sure she enjoys all of Daisy’s favorites plus of course, Lilo & Stitch. So eh, let’s replace Bolt with that one for her.

Favorite Disney character:  Stitch

Favorite ride at Disney World: She has never been, but as she doesn’t actually enjoy riding in cars like Daisy, I am going to assume its NOT the Tomorrowland Speedway

Lilo is our newest family member (December 2017) and she is already so loved. I am sure she will bring us so much joy in the years to come, though I doubt she will blog all that much about it herself.

We envision this blog as covering all the things we love about the Disney universe. This will definitely cover the parks, movies, music, etc. but also should hopefully extend out to things such as Marvel, Star Wars and other Disney properties.
